ディズニー第6の船「ディズニー・トレジャー」起工式を開催

ディズニー・クルーズライン第6の船「Disney Treasure」が建造のマイルストーンに到達。造船プロセスにおける重要なマイルストーンで、初めて船体の一部を建造ドックに降ろす際、新たに鋳造されたコインをその下に置くというセレモニー、キールレイが行われました。

Philip Gennotte, portfolio project management executive, Walt Disney Imagineering Germany, took part in the keel laying ceremony for the Disney Treasure at Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. 最新の船、ディズニー・ウィッシュでのキールレイは2021年4月9日に開催され、命名式は2022年の6月（初航海は2022年7月14日）というスケジュールで、実は意外とここからは速かったりします。既に同時並行で各ブロックを建造中で、レゴブロックのように組み立てる作業が行われつつ、船室もすべてブロック化されており、想像以上にシステマチックに作られます。

今回、キールレイに登場しているPhilip Gennotte氏は、ドイツのウォルト・ディズニー・イマジニアリングの方で、ディズニー・ウィッシュにおいても中心的人物であったことが、ナショナル・ジオグラフィックの特番にて語られていました。ディズニー・ウィッシュ建造中に各ブロックを木で作った模型を組み合わせる姿が印象的でしたが、実際にその模型はディズニー・ウィッシュ内に展示されているようです。今回もやってるのかな。

なお、電撃的に発表された東南アジア航路に使われる第7の船に関しては、ゲンティン香港の未完成船を買収した関係でむしろディズニー・トレジャーよりも先にほぼ完成しています。なので元Global Dreamのほうが（東南アジア航路の方が）先に登場する可能性が高いです。こちらは2025年就航予定。
