「Reedy Creek」問題、ウォルト・ディズニー・ワールド社長はロン・デサンティス州知事の決定に従うとコメント。長らく問題になっている、フロリダ、ウォルト・ディズニー・ワールドのある「Reedy Creek」地区の自治権をディズニーからフロリダ州に戻すという動きに対し、ウォルト・ディズニー・ワールド・リゾート社長のジェフ・ヴァーレ氏はステートメントを発表、自治権争奪にむけて以後は係争しない方針を発表しました。
これまでウォルト・ディズニー・ワールドは地区の自治権を得ており、インフラ整備などを含めた権利を持っていました。ディズニーは2022年4月にDon’t Say Gay法案をめぐりフロリダ州と対立、その騒動の中フロリダ州知事ロン・デサンティス氏はこの自治権剥奪を報復措置として動きました。
この動きにより、同地区は名称変更などを行う法案を承認、まもなく成立となる予定です。ただし以前の提案では地区を完全に解放させるという内容だったのですが、地域の重要な運営手続きはそのまま維持される模様です。そのため、ウォルト・ディズニー・ワールドの運営に大きな変化はないと予想されています（おそらくその結果の社長ステートメントと思われます）。
