ウォルト・ディズニー・ワールドの夏はまだ明確なリリースなどは出ていないものの、ちょっとずつ新要素が発表されています。

まずはエプコットのランド館。これまでライオン・キングの「Circle of Life」を上映していたシアターの新プログラムが発表されました。場所はランド館の2階部分、Living with the Landのエントランス上です。スタート時期は未発表。
今回の新フィルムはスター・ウォーズなどの特殊効果を担当したILMのチームも参加し、地球の美しさと多様性を表現するような内容。これ以外にもエプコットではフランス館にてImpressions de Franceに代わる新たなプログラム「Beauty and the Beastシングアロング」や、中国館におけるサークルビジョンの新映像、カナダ館においても映像のアップデートが予定されており、エプコットのシアター系の体験を大きく変える予定です。
ディズニー・アニマルキングダム「ラフィキのプラネット・ウォッチ」2019年夏に復活
Walt Disney World Resort guests take a ride on the Wildlife Express as they venture to Rafiki’s Planet Watch at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Modeled after engines on the Indian Peninsula Railroad, the five-car train seats 250 passengers on contoured benches facing sideways, offering behind-the-scenes glimpses at some of the park’s animal care facilities. Before their return train, guests exploring Rafiki’s Planet Watch learn about animal conservation, tour veterinary labs and research facilities and even have animal encounters in the Affection Section. 先日一時休止が発表されていた、「Rafiki’s Planet Watch」の再開が発表されました。再開は移動手段のWildlife Express Trainなども含まれ、再開時には超実写版「ライオン・キング」のプロモーションによる新要素も含まれる予定です。
パーク内の飛び地であるRafiki’s Planet Watchには、ディズニー・アニマルキングダムの研究施設的な側面を紹介するエリアもあり、再開は素直にうれしいですね。

2019年3月31日から新アトラクション「Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy」がスタートするディズニー・ハリウッドスタジオにて、もう1つのショーがスタートすることが発表されました。カーズシリーズに登場するクルーズ・ラミレスとDJが登場する、「DJ’s Ready! Set! Party Time!」が開催されます。

6角形のタイルをパーソナライズして、マジック・キングダムのエントランス近辺に埋め込む「Disney’s Walk Around the World」に関しての動きです。このプログラム自体は2011年に終了し、既に新規募集はされていませんが、この度エントランス部分のリニューアルに伴い、これらのタイルが撤去されることが決定しました。
既にこのプログラムに参加している方に対しては、タイルブロックの返却は行わないものの、2019年8月31日までの期間限定で「複製」を手に入れることができます。プログラムに参加した方は10ドルで、それ以外の方も29.99ドルでパーソナライズされたタイルブロックを購入することが可能です（2019年春にはshopDisney.comでも受付を予定）。

小ネタオブ小ネタのような気がしますが、ミッキー＆ミニーが「ミッキーマウス！」ベースなのすごくいいです。もちろんこれは新アトラクションのことを考えたら当たり前なのですが。何度もいうけどミッキーマウス！シリーズは全部目を通すべき。

最後のブロックに関しては、もう「スマイルストーン」って言葉が通じなくなったような気がします……。実はこれ同様のことを東京ディズニーランドでもやってたんですよ。15周年のときに。
確かそのころはまだグーフィーの誕生日とか違ってたり、ミニーマウスの綴りが違っていたりしましたよね、という昔話。
