2019年2月9日、ウォルト・ディズニーの娘ダイアンの夫であり、元ウォルト・ディズニー・カンパニーの社長でもあったロナルド・W・ミラー氏が逝去されました。85歳でした。ロン・ミラー氏はもともとフットボールの選手として有名になり、1954年5月にダイアンさんと結婚、1957年にはウォルト・ディズニー・カンパニーに入社し、Old Yeller（1957年）やTron（1982年）などの制作に携わりました。
1966年には役員会のメンバー入りをはたし、タッチストーン・ピクチャーズを立ち上げるなどの功績があったものの、社内でウォルトの甥、ロイ・E・ディズニーらと対立したことで1984年に、追い出される形で退職しました。
ディズニー社退職後はダイアン、そしてリリアンとともにSilverado Vineyardsを設立、その後はサンフランシスコのThe Walt Disney Family Museumの設立にも携わった、とても重要な立ち位置の方でした。ファミリーミュージアムでも追悼のメッセージが掲載されています。
