ディズニー・カリフォルニア・アドベンチャーでは、この夏新たに「Pixar Pier」がオープン、夏イベントとしても9月3日まで「Pixar Fest」が開催されています。そのPixar Festに関して、6つの見逃せないポイントが公式パークブログで掲載されました。
が、一番重要なのは下記の1文。ディズニー・カリフォルニア・アドベンチャーのテーマエリア「a bug’s land」のクローズ日が、Pixar Fest終了と同時期の2018年9月4日と正式に発表がありました（もともと晩夏との発表はありました）。
In addition, as we previously announced, “a bug’s land” will be closing to make way for the Super Hero-themed land, which will open in 2020. The last day to experience the fun of being a bug is Sept. 4.

なお、このエリアには2020年に（時期が初めて公表）、マーベルのスーパーヒーローをテーマにしたエリアに生まれ変わる予定です。
上記記事の1文も、USパーク特有のレギュレーション「プロモーションにマーベルという言葉を使ってはいけない」を守っていていろいろな制限を感じます。あくまで「スーパーヒーローテーマランド」なんだよなー。あと関連しそうなものとしては、新たにPixar Pierに登場予定のInside out関連アトラクション「Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind」がどうなるかという点ですね。「Flik’s Flyers」の移設なのかという意味で。
