マペッツのパーク展開がさらに拡大！！

マジック・キングダムにマペッツたちが進出です。ウォルト・ディズニー・ワールド、マジック・キングダムのリバティ・スクエアにおいて、新たなショーがスタートします。その名も「The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History」。これはカーミットやミス・ピギー、フォジーやゴンゾたちが登場し、アメリカの歴史を教えてくれるというとてもありがたい内容。この内容からもお分かりのように、メインはおそらくサム（Sam the American Eagle）が中心になると思われます。
さらに、登場するキャラクター（？）として、リバティ・スクエアのふれ役、James Jeffersonが登場。このショーオリジナルの曲も用意されているようです。
このショーのスタートに関して、サムからのコメントも出ています。あの口調で読んでください。
“I am thrilled and excited—but also deeply concerned—about the opening of ‘The Muppets Present … Great Moments in American History’ at Walt Disney World. Thrilled and excited because I believe that this magnificently patriotic and entertaining show will prove to be yet another great moment in American history… and deeply concerned because, well, the Muppets are involved,” said patriot and the show’s presenter, Sam Eagle.

マペッツたちとアメリカというと、これが真っ先に思い浮かびますねえ。この歌には向かないマペットだけを集めたセンス。最高です。
既にこのショーの存在は噂として流れてきており、ショーのエリアでは建物が改装されつつある様子が流れてきておりました。なので、オーランドベースのブロガーたちの間では「やっと公式発表」というテイですね。

なお、ウォルト・ディズニー・ワールドのマペッツたちの拠点であるディズニー・ハリウッドスタジオの「Muppet Vision 3D」近辺においては、これまでPizza Planet（トイ・ストーリー）だった場所が、2016年秋には新たに「PizzeRizzo」として、マペッツテーマのピザ屋に変わることも発表されています。Rizzoはマペットビジョンにもほぼ主人公として登場していましたね。このエリア自体も「Muppet Courtyard」として展開される予定です。

一時期はインディ・ジョーンズのスタントショーとともにクローズし、マペッツアトラクションも無くなってスター・ウォーズ関連エリアになるという噂もありましたが、ウォルト・ディズニー・ワールドにおいてはマペッツたちも大きくクローズアップされてくるというのは本当にうれしい話。ディズニー・カリフォルニア・アドベンチャー側のマペットビジョンはマーベル関連エリアの噂が濃くなったため、帰ってくるかどうかはちょっと絶望的かなあと。その分、フロリダ側のプッシュはありがたい。
マペッツ関連は各キャラクターがとても濃いので、ある程度の前提知識が必要かもしれません。大昔の記事なのでアレですがこちらも。
上記James Jeffersonのオーディションが開催されるようです。
これによると、James Jeffersonはショー内で「JJ」と呼ばれるようですね。
スタート後の公式写真が公開されていたので追記します。うらやましいなあ。多分これ、大統領選に伴うホール・オブ・プレジデンツ新大統領追加のクローズもあって考えられたものなんだろうなとか思いました。
