ウォルト・ディズニー・ワールドにて現在行われているプレス／ブロガー向けイベント「Awaken Summer」にて、新たな情報がさらに出てきました。主にウォルト・ディズニー・ワールド内で夏および夏以降にスタート／オープンするものを先行して発表しています。その中には驚きのものも。順に紹介します。

Disney Parks will welcome its first princess inspired by diverse Latin cultures. Princess Elena of Avalor will be appearing at Walt Disney World Resort this summer and at Disneyland Resort in the fall, following her television debut in a new animated series this summer on Disney Channel. まずは新情報。日本でも地上波放映中のディズニージュニア作品「ちいさなプリンセス ソフィア」のスピンオフに登場予定の「エレナ」が、2016年8月にウォルト・ディズニー・ワールド、マジック・キングダムに登場します。また、ディズニーランド・リゾートでもこの秋に登場するとのことです。

そもそもこのエレナ、アメリカでもこの夏放送予定のスピンオフ作品「Princess Elena of Avalor」で初登場する予定のプリンセスで、ディズニーが初めてラテンの文化を取り入れた16歳のプリンセスになる予定だと言われています。このあたりは舞浜横町が詳しいです。

EPCOT、ランド館のアトラクションがリニューアルし、「Soarin’ Around the World」として6月17日にオープンします。これは上海ディズニーランド版「Soarin’ Over the Horizon」がオープンした翌日に当たる日（微妙にタイトルが違います）。これと同時に現在拡張中の3つめのキャビンもオープンし、話題となったインタラクティブキューもアップデートします。FastPass+は4月21日から受け付け開始です。
これにあわせ、動画も公開されています。最後にロゴも表示されますね。音楽もこれかしら。

ディズニー・アニマルキングダムのレストラン「Tiffins」のオープン日がメモリアルデー週末であることも発表されました。これまで発表されている「Tree of Life Awakens」などのエンターテイメントと同時にオープンとなります。

EPCOTノルウェー館、「アナと雪の女王」をモチーフにした新アトラクション、「Frozen Ever After」のオープン日が2016年6月と発表されました。なお、これに先立ちロペス夫妻が新たな歌詞を追加したこと、および映画のキャストが再度終結してセリフや歌を担当したことも発表されています。

映画「Finding Dory」に登場するキャラクターたちが追加されるアップデートが発表されています。こちらは既発表でしたが、今回ジンベイザメの「Destiny」が登場している絵が発表されました。面白そう。

こちらも基本は既発表のものですが、新たにオリジナルソング「On This Day」が使われることが発表されました。作曲チームはBrendan MilburnとValerie Vigoda (“Toy Story: The Musical,” “Tinker Bell: Secret of the Wings”)。
In the show, Mickey and his troupe of Merry Makers have been preparing to host a joyous festival and have ventured far and wide to invite friends from other lands to join their celebration. From the Land of the Bewitching Bayous, Goofy has invited Tiana, Naveen and Louis to add a little spice of New Orleans jazz to the party. From the Land of the Enchanted Woods, Donald Duck brings some new friends he met at the Snuggly Duckling, and Daisy introduces us to her special guests, Rapunzel and Flynn. Finally, Mickey shares a surprise with Minnie, as he has traveled to the Land of the Mystic Mountains to invite Olaf, Anna and Elsa, who contributes a blast of her icy magic. It all culminates in a grand dance, as the Merry Makers invite all their new friends to join in the fun on this special day in Magic Kingdom Park.

タウンセンターが5月にオープンしますが、その後も夏に30以上のショップがオープンするとのことです。

D23 Expo 2015で発表のあった、新たなエリア「Toy Story Land」にできる2つのアトラクションの名称が決まりました。エイリアンたちが跳ねるアトラクションは「Alien Swirling Saucers」という名称に。これはかつてディズニーランドに存在した「フライング・ソーサー」をイメージしたもののようです。
そしてもう1つはスリンキーのローラーコースター「Slinky Dog Dash」。D23 Expo 2015で上映されたものよりもアップデートされている動画が発表されました。
さらに、メモリアルデー週末には「Toy Story Mania」の3本目のトラックが稼働開始します。

こちらは既報の通りです。ちなみにディズニーランド側におけるスター・ウォーズテーマの新エリアについては公式ブログで360度見渡せる動画が出ています。
そのほか、ディズニー・アニマルキングダムに2017年にオープンする予定の「Pandora: The World of Avatar」の発表ではジョー・ロード氏も登場していました。新要素はなかったかな…。

いやしかしエレナはすごいですね。たしか「ちいさなプリンセス ソフィア」でもまだ名前しか出てなくて、2016年夏（つまりパーク登場と同じタイミング）に放送開始というのはすごいパワーを感じます。そしてちょっとお姉さん（16歳）であること、さらにはラテンのプリンセスということで、多くの子どもたちがスッと入っていけるよう、間口を広げてるなー、という印象です。これはやっぱり、ディズニーがいまキャンペーンしている「Dream Big, Princess」の一つとして、というのもあるのかなー。
