ウォルト・ディズニー・ワールド、ディズニー・ハリウッドスタジオに新たな動きです。「プリンセスと魔法のキス」のドクター・ファシリエに関するショー、そしてジェダイトレーニングアカデミーがリニューアルするかもしれないという兆候がありました。

WDW News Todayより。ディズニーパークスのオーディション情報に、あらたに「New Villains Offering at Walt Disney World® Resort– Male Comedic Actors and Actors Who Sing」および「New Villains Offering at Walt Disney World® Resort – Female Dancers」が掲載されています。
これによると、募集がかけられているのは3つの役。
- Dr. Facilier – Male, 20s – 30s, 5’11” and above. A master of magic and voodoo. Charismatic baritone with pizazz. Sings “Friends On The Other Side.”
- Comedic Male Actor- Inventive actor with a strong sense of comedic wit and timing. Portrays the club manager of Dr. Facilier’s Lounge. Well-polished with a bit of flair.
- Female Dancers – Seeking versatile and exciting female dancers 5’2” and above. Must have excellent technique and a strong hip hop background. Acting ability a plus.
この内容を見ると、どうもドクター・ファシリエをホストに、歌やダンスを行う「クラブ」が登場するようなイメージです。単なるステージショーなのか、それともディナーショーなのかまでは分かっていません。また、契約期間の表記もなく、単発の可能性もあります。
そしてもう一つ、こちらはスター・ウォーズ関連。既発表の通り、スター・ウォーズ関連エリアが登場するこのディズニー・ハリウッドスタジオには、2015年末より「Star Wars Launchbay」が登場します。これについては下記記事も参照のこと。
そのStar Wars Launchbay関連のオーディションも行われていますが、既存の「Jedi Training Academy」に関するオーディションに気になる記述があります。
これによると……
Disney Parks and Talent Casting is seeking Actors for 2 roles in the reimagined Jedi Training Academy to be performed at Disney’s Hollywood Studios® at the Walt Disney World® Resort near Orlando, FL.
と、“reimagined Jedi Training Academy ”という記述があります。タイトルにも「New」とついているので、おそらくStar Wars Launchbayのオープンとともに開催場所が変更、内容も変えるのではないかと思われます。
なお、Star Wars Launchbayができる場所については、ディズニーランド側は旧イノベンションズに、ディズニー・ハリウッドスタジオ側は先日クローズしたDisney Magic of Animation跡地にできるといわれており、すでに象徴的なソーサラーミッキーの装飾も取り外されています。

Mickey’s Halloween Partyにて、「Mystical Spirits of the Blue Bayou」の開催が発表されました。このダイニングイベントにて、ドクター・ファシリエが登場するとのこと。ただし、これはアナハイムのディズニーランドでのもので、上記オーディションとは異なるもののようです。
