“It’s a Small World”が50周年　世界はひとつに（update）

　歴史的なアトラクション、イッツ・ア・スモールワールドの50周年を祝うセレモニーが開催されます。

　1964年4月22日よりスタートしたニューヨーク世界博にて登場し、その後米ディズニーランドに移設された、ディズニーを代表するアトラクション「イッツ・ア・スモールワールド」が今年50周年を迎えます。

　特設サイトがオープンし、世界の方々が歌うイッツ・ア・スモールワールドの動画を見ることができます（3月26日には日本語版も登場するようです）。これは1フレーズずつみんなが歌うもので、カメラがあれば歌を投稿することも可能。また、バーチャルな人形を作成することができ、ディズニーはユニセフに対し15万ドルの寄付をするとともに、投稿された歌1つに付き1ドル、作成されたドール1体に付き1ドルを寄付するとのことです。

　これにあわせて、多くの動画が投稿されています。まずはこの誰もが知る歌を作った作曲家、リチャード・シャーマンから始まる動画。

　そして、セレブたちも歌います。これは「The View」のキャストたち。ウーピー・ゴールドバーグ、ジェニー・マッカーシー、シェリー・シェパード、バーバラ・ウォルターズ。

On Thursday, April 10, 2014, guests and cast members at Disney Parks around the world will unite in song to celebrate the 50th anniversary of “it’s a small world,” the classic Disney Parks attraction that opened as a tribute to peace and hope at the 1964 New York World’s Fair.

　これによると、4月10日にイッツ・ア・スモールワールドの存在する5つのパークにて、この曲を一斉に歌うというイベントが計画されているとのこと。ちゃんと東京ディズニーリゾートも入っています。これは本当に楽しみですね。2つ目のページを見ると、東京ディズニーリゾートでは「Tokyo Disney Resort®: Tokyo Disneyland® Park cast and guests will celebrate and sing “it’s a small world” in Japanese at Tokyo DisneySea® Park.」としっかりキャストとゲストって書いてあります。ちょっと引用すると各パークの様子はこんな感じ。

Highlights of the worldwide sing-along extravaganza include:

• Hong Kong Disneyland® Resort: Students from Hong Kong schools will gather to pay tribute to “it’s a small world” in Cantonese, along with a traditional Chinese dragon joining the celebration to offer a blessing for the anniversary.

• Tokyo Disney Resort®: Tokyo Disneyland® Park cast and guests will celebrate and sing “it’s a small world” in Japanese at Tokyo DisneySea® Park.

• Disneyland® Paris: The international team of Disneyland Paris will gather in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle and will sing their version of the song.

• Disneyland® Resort: A choir of cast members will sing the iconic anthem in front of the beautiful façade of the original attraction at Disneyland® Park in California.

• Walt Disney World® Resort: In Florida, international cast representing the 11 countries featured at Epcot® will lead guests, cast and children in song in front of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom®.

　これを見る限り、本家ディズニーランドはキャストのみ、ウォルト・ディズニー・ワールドはEpcotキャストをそろえて、とありますので、なんとなく中心はWDWの予感。世界同時にやるのかと思っていたのですが、漏れ聞こえてくる声によるとどうもそうではなさそうで……（調査中。やるとしてもアナハイム早朝5時、フロリダ朝8時、東京夜9時くらいしか考えられない）。

　なんにせよ、リチャード・シャーマン氏がそこにいるということだけでもうれしいイベント。4月10日のイベントがどのような形で開催されるのか、注目したいと思います。

　東京ディズニーリゾートのイッツ・ア・スモールワールド50周年サイトが登場しました。現段階で何もアナウンスがないので、ゲスト参加のセレモニーはない、と考えていいでしょう。

　詳細が発表されました。

・At the Walt Disney World Resort, hundreds of Magic Kingdom Park guests are joining in the song during a special “pre-parade” before the “Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade.”
Throughout the day, in-park performers – the Dapper Dans, Coke Corner Pianist, Notorious Banjo Brothers, Royal Majesty Maker Musicians and Main Street Philharmonic – are scheduled to include “it’s a small world” in their appearances.

・At the Disneyland Resort, songwriter Richard Sherman is scheduled to appear in a sing-along cavalcade down Main Street, U.S.A., conducting hundreds of Disneyland guests in their “it’s a small world” sing-along.

・At Hong Kong Disneyland, cast members and students from Hong Kong Children’s Choir are singing “it’s a small world” in Cantonese.

・At Tokyo Disneyland, cast members and guests are gathering to sing in Japanese at Tokyo Disneyland.

・At Disneyland Paris, a “blue carpet” event featuring international cast members is planned for on Main Street, U.S.A., with students from the European International School, singing a multi-language version of the iconic anthem in front of “it’s a small world.”

　東京ディズニーリゾートでは、東京ディズニーランドにおいてキャストとゲストが日本語で歌う、とあります。アナハイムには作曲者リチャード・シャーマンが来るようですね。これは動画レポートが楽しみです。
